I'll be home making Thanksgiving Dinner.
Good Morning Irwin, We appreciate you reaching out, and Yes we still serve Snapper Soup.
Unfortunately, we not make Koliva. You are the first one to make the request. We apologize.
Yes
Chicken a little tough. Prices are high for a diner. Did not have the 1st 2 request meals because one they quit having it and the other was out of stock. No discount. That would have been nice. Food was nicely seasoned
Great food and service. Love the sweets.
Ponzio's is awesome! My family and I went there on Mother's Day and had a wonderful meal. There were 7 of us all together and they had our table waiting for us when we got there. We were all so surprised at the size of the place - it's huge inside! I had called about a week before to find out if they were doing anything special for Mother's Day and they said yes and that they were taking reservations. I reserved our table right then and it was a good thing because it was packed in there and they were turning people away that didn't have a reservation. They had a special holiday menu in addition to their regular breakfast menu which was perfect and made everyone happy. I ordered a jumbo lump crab cake eggs benedict along with a fresh fruit and yogurt parfait and my traditional Bloody Mary that I get every year on Mother's Day (yes there's a bar too!!) and everything was fantastic. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be going back again. Highly recommend!
Very nice meal, attentive service. We will make this a more frequent stop for sure
Awesome food, awesome atmosphere, and awesome kids menu!
I have lived in Cherry Hill since 1967 and Ponzio's has always been the go to place for good old fashioned diner food. Large portions, open atmosphere, friendly hard working staff. The classic American diner experience
No longer do they have eggplant fries or snickers cake. I had the souvlaki salad...hair in the salad and chicken kebabs were raw inside. The dressing is made with vegetable oil...don’t order this....unfortunately the waitress wasn’t great. Manager offered to remake the meal or give me dessert but I just had himNot charge me...didn’t want anything from the kitchen at that point. My husband had short rib stew which was delicious but not well priced at $17.00. There may be better options in this area.
We ordered takeout this afternoon. I know people are trying during this pandemic and I'm not sure how long they have been open because their website still states there is indoor dining, but I have to say the food we ordered today was terrible. The mozzarella sticks had no cheese inside them, they were hollow. The panzarotini's were chewy and tasted old. The chicken was inedible on my chicken blt club. The chicken blt wrap was alright, but the broccoli was overly salty.
Waitress was great, fast and professional. The food was insanely skimp. Paid $13 for a French dip and got three slices of a sandwich which made barely a half a sandwich. Looked liie the cut out the middle and game me the ends. All bread and barely any meat. While paying at the register I was going to mention this but the cashier wouldn’t even look at me. Didn’t say a SINGLE word to me, other then my total.
Ordered stuffed flounder with crab meat. Tasted bland. Dinner pastries are good. Mother had Lima bean soup that she enjoyed.
I've been going here for years now, and food is usually great! They have a great bakery too!! I ordered a pie Saturday morning, for a Sunday afternoon pickup. When I arrived there I was told there was NO pie for me. That someone was going to call me, and tell me they didn't make it, well I never received that call. A common courtesy call would of been nice. Unfortunately, I'm not ordering the rest of my holiday pies from there this year which sucks because they usually are good.
Ponzio's continues to be the go-to place for excellent diner food in South Jersey. Ponzio's is not cheap, but that's for a reason. Food quality and service at Ponzio's far outstrips that of any of its competitors. Whether it's your bowl of hot soup or your epic Greek salad (get it chopped with chicken!) or your daily special, Ponzio's has always delivered extremely consistent meals. There's a reason that lots of people eat meal after meal at Ponzio's and drive miles to get there...it's simply the best.
Ordered what the menu highlighted; delighted.I have read the low reviews and noticed they ordered some obscure dish. I ordered the eggplant parmesan, and I honestly can say it was the best egg parm I have ever had.I have found a new destination when I am in town. Oh and the bakery is to die for. I tried to die; ate nearly one of each pastry.
One of the best diners around. Beautiful granite counter - actual glasses and nice flatware. Food is excellent.
Good food, wide variety. I stop here every time I come through the area. Service a bit sluggish today, though.
Had breakfast, coffee perfect, orange juice freshly squeezed perfect, 2 eggs over easy perfect, potato pancakes perfect, and bacon crisp, not burned perfect. Perfect breakfast.
My grill cheese was delicious. My first dish was swimming in the sauce. It looked good, but was overly saturated with the sauce. I returned it for grilled cheese/bacon.
Great stuff and the food was quality it is a well balanced restaurant. The variety is good too. Awesome food.
Great classic diner experience. Wonderful servers, very attentive. Food is well-prepared. Looking forward to a return visit.
This was one of my favorite places I haven't been there long time and I found out lots of changes. It was right after 2 PM when I get there. There was a few customer they had me sit near to cash register area than I waited about 15 minutes have a waiter so I can order the food. When I got my food I asked them for a ketchup and start eating. They bring me ketchup after I ate my fries. I hate say it but it's kinda hurting me to see one of my favorite places going down. I don't think I'll go there again
Typical American style diner. Lots of selection of mostly mediocre food, good service nice vibe. Pleasant place.
The staff was very accommodating and we were not an easy group. Our group kept growing and the staff never got frustrated. Thank you for making graduation night so nice.
I have been going to this place for many years and things have changed. The food is not the same as it once was but still decent. The service is always great and deserts are spectacular. My compliments to the baker.
Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Amazing bakery selections. Fresh hot coffee as well as a bar for your favorite cocktail. Easy access and lighted parking.
The food was delicious. One star was taken away due to service. After we paid the bill, we sat and talked for a while (a few people had to leave sooner than others). The waitress never came back to our table. No check in to see if we needed anything else. No refill of waters or coffee. Nothing. In my experience, waitresses usually check in while you are at their table. Guess not here. If you want to talk after you eat, don't pay your bill until you are on your way out or you will be a thirsty bamajamma!
Food was great, waitress was on point! Great place for our last day in NJ! One of the best chicken phillys I've had! Thank you!
Not your average diner. Very extensive menu. Trust your waitresses. Ours made superb recommendations. Food was very good. Even gave me a balloon for my birthday at the register. Bakery is very good
Ponzio's is a restaurant style diner. Nice ambience and a more traditional customers visiting the restaurant. Has got a good selection of cakes and other bakery items. Have a bar attached. I enjoyed my Veg meal .. I tried Spaghetti Pasta with my choice of veggies.. Lemonade with club soda.. enjoyed it.. My friend tried some Tuna sandwich and he enjoyed too.. food are reasonably priced.. Thank unteam Ponzio's.. We we're served by Ms.Jordon with her kind warmth and patience.. 👍..
Going DOWNHILL FASSSST. Very expensive and overpriced. Food has gone from good to very bad. A neighborhood centerpiece but got really bad.
This diner was in our way home from a wolf farm nearby. I'm all for diner food but this was pretty overly exceptional diner food. The wait staff I fear met all the stereotypes. Although they did their job technically they were just missing something. But overall a good experience.
Amazing place! Never disappoints!
Ponzio's holds a special place in my heart for it was where I had my first date with my lovely lady. They have some excellent cooks combined with a beautiful facility and a very attentive staff makes it an excellent choice and a true gem for the area. From appetizers through to an extensive selection of desserts you will not be disappointed with whatever you choose. I had a grilled Reuben sandwich along with some onion rings while my lovely lady had a turkey club sandwich and we shared both. They were quite flavorful, fresh and delicious.
I had an Endocrinologist Appointment in Cherry Hill and decided to check out Ponzios Diner (this was my first time going there).. I wanted breakfast and because it was closer to Lunch (11:30) they had a Very Limited Breakfast.. I asked if they had something like French Toast/Pancakes with Eggs & Bacon and the waitress staged they did but everything would be separate... Not wanting to spend $20.00 for Breakfast I decided to go with the Spinach & Feta Cheese Omelet, with onions & peppers in my potatoes (with no extra charge).. the Omelet was very good but the potatoes tasted like they were soaked in oil... the parking lot leaves alot to be desired as I drove around about 2 times before realizing that there was a other way in...
Stopped here after shopping with a friend for late lunch. Had pot stickers and a linzio wrap. The wrap was out of this world. fresh chicken, mozzarella and peppers. Yum!! They have their own bakery so I had the cheesecake. VERY good and I'm hard to impress with cakes and pies because I bake regularly. Service was good and we had a very friendly server. The layout is a little strange and it gets a little noisy but I would go back.
Delicious, everything is always good. Their burgers are especially good. The breads are excellent. I would definitely recommend!
Delicious😍😋and go visit my Fiance she will take good care of you.Ask for Dominique 💜
The best salad ever! I love the food here and the DESSERTS...AMAZING!
The Fam loves the food here. Always consistent in quality. The bread basket is one of the best around. Great spot for a good quick bite. Must buy the cookies & cakes when you leave.
Ponzio's has good food served fast. I have been eating there for a very long time. Now living in Las Vegas, it was my first place to stop upon arriving back in South Jersey for a visit.
I stopped here yesterday to pick up a cheesecake for my boss. He rants and raves about how good this place is. I walked in and saw the extensive pastries collection and had to stop myself from going bankrupt. Didn't get a chance to try the food but if it tastes half as good as it looks I think it'll be great. Attached photo is the cherry cheesecake. Probably weighed no joke 10 pounds.
I had the cob salad with grilled chicken. The salad was big enough to feed 4 and tasted great.
Bridgette was our server, and she's terrific! Another great meal at Ponzio's. OMG, the best blue cheese dressing and great bread. My salad was beautifully planted and fresh! The grilled chicken was perfectly cooked (a special order as I requested no salt). Kudos to the cook/chef. We love coming here and everything we've ever ordered has been great. Love their bread, too...
Food was good but service was lacking. Waitress forgot the appetizer then actually asked if we still wanted it... One of the items ordered was not correct and food did not come out hot. My first time here and may not go back.
Too pricey for my wallet. Side salad was good, can't eat the bread, garlic parmesan chicken wings were super small and zero flavor. All the other entrees, honestly looked too expensive. I was afraid to order in case I was dissatisfied. Oh well.
I visited with my mom and aunt for lunch offer the weekend and I must say everything turned out pretty good. We all got the broccoli cheddar soup (very tasty, perfectly seasoned) with some fresh bread then finished with a strawberry cheesecake. Will definitely recommend and return again some time.
does "the diner for dinner" live up to it's slogan? I couldn't tell you. I've only ordered breakfast. some of the waitresses have been working 100 years, so they are really good at their job. the food is tasty, a cut above your typical greezy jersey diner fare.though I would argue that since they close so early, they are more of a "restaurant" than a diner.frankly, it's a little bit too expensive for what it is. but if you're rich like me, its a good place to wait out a hangover. tell them uncle cholly sent ya ;)
Our server (Kathy) was wonderful. Salad and bread were good. Entrees were ok
The service was great. The ladies were very attentive and our food came out quickly. I had the rigatoni and it was delicious. The cheese buns were amazing!! The cinnamon bread was yummy as well. For some reason the carpet seemed sticky everywhere we stepped though. The paper towel dispenser in the bathroom gave out an excellent amount of paper towel!
Went on a Sunday morning. Very busy but didn't wait more than 5 minutes to be seated. Food excellent, service good, priced appropriately. Unfortunately, took quite a while to pay the check. Perhaps they should consider paying at the table and reconfigure the exit.
This had super food and great service. Wait staff was good .and the owner Mike very nice to chat with and understanding. Also found out his frat brother has a restaurant in Hanover , Penn. Which ill stop at amd say hi.
